A few months. It is said that the Iraq War started on March 20, 2003 but that was the date when America declared they were going to invade Iraq. But in preparation for the attack,100,000 troops were moved to Kuait by Febuary 18th.
America has been stationed in Iraq since 2001.
The United States invaded the country of Iraq on March 19, 2003. The invasion lasted until May of the same year. The number of troops involved from the US was 148,000.
It's hard to tell, but around 151,000 Americans have died since March of 2003 in the war.
The most common reason Australia has entered in previous troops was to aid Allies such as England and the US. This is the reason they entered most major wars, such as the Korean War,ÊVietnam War, and the Iraq War
Yes, he could not go to war with out congress approval. He could, but only for 90 days!
The reason for the troops in IraqPresident Bush wants troops in Iraq to help the Iraquis get their government to become a government, train the Iraqi army and the police to defend the country and to rid the country of insurgents. By helping Iraq to become a real country, it will become one less staging area for terrorists to launch attacks on people and societies, like the U.S., that the terrorists want to kill. By helping the Iraqi people, the U.S. is, hopefully, protecting itself from future attacks by the terrorists.-----Iraq was not considered a state sponsor of terrorism prior to our first invasion--the first American gulf war. In fact, we sold Hussein many of the weapons he used during his long war with Iran--a war we encouraged and supported (on both sides). When Saddam invaded Kuwait, we repelled his army. President Bush began planning the invasion of Iraq long before 9/11, which served as a useful pretext for unprovoked war. How many of the 9/11 terrorists were Iraqis? How many Iraqis were materially involved in 9/11? The answer is: Zero. President Bush wants troops in Iraq because it is a useful area for American military bases to protect oil shipments to the United States. There was never any reliable evidence Iraq intended to harm the US. The Iraq war and occupation is for American economic interests. I don't want to get political here, we just want to stick with the plain and simple facts. The US was able to sustain its economy through seven years of massive war deficits.

All presidents go on diplomatic missions, to meet the leaders of a country or engage in policy discussion. In this case, in 2009, he visited Iraq to meet and thank the troops and tell them they would soon be coming home.
