For my DE filter (with the tentacles) I usually let it soak in the muratic acid solution for no more than a day or two. Any longer may cause a little damage to the seals on the tip of each tentacle. There are granulated cleansers that work well too. Just dissolve the granuals in a 5-gallon pail about a third full of water. Place the tentacles in and fill with water to brim of bucket. Let it soak for a day or two. Supposed to be healthier for the tentacles. Works for me.
If you can get a container that will hold the whole length of the filter cartridge fill it with water and 1/4 acid then leave the filter in it over night it should be fine in the morning. if you can only get a container half the height then you will have to do it in two stages.
Very carefully. Follow the manufacturers directions. I am guessing you are cleaning calcium deposits on a DE filter. I would assume that you would dilute the acid with clean water (pouring the acid slowly into the water and not water into acid) and pour enough to cover all of the grids. Then soak over night.
You can use it straight away it mixes very rapidly and if you swim in it it will mix even more quickly.
At least 5 hours .If you don't think its ready, wait 2 more hours.
you have to wait about 20 minutes before you can get in.
Leave it sitting, boil it, filter it, or centrifuge it.
Add water and warm to dissolve the salt. Filter the whole solution to leave the sand. Rinse the sand and filter again. Evaporate the water off the salt solution.
Fill a bag with vinegar and tie it to the shower head. Leave it on for a couple of hours then wash. Good as new. Or get yourself a shower head with rubber nozzles which are much like the SparkPod filtered shower head on Amazon.
Yes, it does not affect anything.
Muriatic Acid it extremely corrosive and highly caustic. To clean glass windows with it, is not recommended. Ammonia, however, does clean windows very effectivly and doesn't leave streak marks.
Yes, you leave the filter on in order for you to put salt in it
To properly disinfect an item, it would need to be saturated or immersed in a disinfectant solution for at least 10 minutes. But, 15-20 minutes would be better. If you are trying to sterilize the item, you would need to leave it soaking for at least half an hour.
evaporating the water would leave the soil in the container, or, depending on the solubility of soil, you could use a filter.
I know it seems weird because this is how you clean it,but you can only leave it in a bucket of water because if frays/ruins the paintbrush tip! Hope this helped you!
you can have the water evaporate and it will leave the salt behind
yes it can be revolting if it does get soaked too long leave it soaking for 2 hours
The result is that you have a solution, which is a homogeneous mixture, which means that the solution is uniform throughout.
