Michael Badnarik began studying the Constitution and Bill of Rights twenty-five years ago, which led him to the disturbing conclusion that MOST of what our federal, state, and local governments do is unconstitutional. He finds this state of affairs unconscionable and totally unacceptable. Since then he has done everything within his sphere of influence to restore our Constitutional republic. I heard him say on his radio broadcast on WTPRN.com on July 30 2007 that 58,000 American soldiers died during the war and that 68,000 committed suicide after coming back from the war.

Why was Veterans Day originally called armistace day?
World War 1 ended in 1918 on November 11th with the Armistice. That Armistice was commemorated as the end of the worst conflict ever to occur in global history. The name was changed to Veterans Day to include those that served in World War 2 and other conflicts. At the time, WWI was the "war to end all wars." When the treaty was signed, it was the Great Armistice since there wouldn't be any more "great" wars. Since then there have of course been many wars and it's now called Veterans Day to honor all vets.

Since the war ended in '75, some US Marines/Airmen/Sailors were 17 years old when they helped evacuate Saigon during it's fall in April '75. It is like a family leaving flowers at the grave of a loved one, only a bit more personal.
