It sort of depends. The average person who is exercising modestly to moderately and eating healthy can lose up to 3 to 5 pounds in 8 days. If a person does nothing but exercise and limit what they eat in healthy foods (as they do on weight loss shows, like "The Biggest Loser", for example), a person can lose 5 to 10 pounds in 8 days. This, however, is not very realalistic. For normal people in normal, every-day situations, 2 to 3 pounds a week is reasonable if they really try hard and put a lot of effort into it.
