There are various recommendations from 60000-150000 km.
If you want to be on the safe side, use 60000 km limit.
Always check the belt visually after purchasing the car.
Take off the airfilterbox.
Take off the 6 mm bolts that hold the belt cover.
Start the engine and check how the belt moves on the
left side of the camsprocket. If there is any hopping movement,
change the belt, water pump and tensioner immediately.
If the belt moves nicely, remember that the tensioner and
water pump may last only 100000 km or less.
So the nice running of the belt does not guarantee that
the motor lasts long.
it should be changed after 60000 miles
2LTR should be chain driven
is it 1700 or 1.3?
on/ in the fuel pump. it should be the 1 with a single wire leading too it.
It should last the life of the engine and is normally replaced when the engine is overhauled.
The cam belt should be changed on a Mitsubishi Triton diesel engine when it becomes worn down. If it wears down too thin, it can break and cause driving issues.
Usually the cam belt should be changed every 60,000 miles
10/40 is ideal for this injection Diesel engine ==new answer== I would always use a semi-synthetic blend, much better protection than straight mineral.I use Millers oils, the Vauxhall branded sem-synth is very good too.
The X-Type Diesel does not have a cam belt, its a chain and never needs changing.
at what milage should the diesel filter be changed
It is timing chain and its for life
Vauxhall recommend every 40K miles or 4 Years.
