There are many advantages to building ACCESSIBLE or ADA COMPLIANT. There is one good reference that I would send you to first. That is your local building official. This person will be able to tell you which codes are applicable in your area. They also can help you understand how they are interpreting these codes and specifications. Why would this be important? Isn't the code written in black and white? Yes and YES… however, The Bible is also written in black and white and you know how many different interpretations there are on that one. Seccond there is a place called the Access Board. They are tasked with developing and interpreting the Fair Housing Act (FHA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Architectural Barriers Act (ABA). Here is a link to their site (www.access-board.gov).

A programming language developed by the US department of defense was name to honor a famous female mathematician Name this programming language?

Ada is a structured, statically typed, imperative, and object-oriented high-level computer programming language, extended from Pascal and other languages. It was originally designed by a team led by Jean Ichbiah of CII Honeywell Bull under contract to the United States Department of Defense (DoD) from 1977 to 1983 to supersede the hundreds of programming languages then used by the DoD. Ada is strongly typed and compilers are validated for reliability in mission-critical applications, such as avionics software. Ada is an international standard; the current version (known as Ada 2005) is defined by joint ISO/ANSI standard (ISO-8652:1995), combined with major Amendment ISO/IEC 8652:1995/Amd 1:2007. Ada was named after Ada Lovelace (1815-1852), who is often credited as being the first computer programmer.[1]

What is an ADA modified apartment?

Any apartment which has been modified to accommodate a disabled person would be considered an ADA modified apartment. The Americans with Disability Act, or ADA is a law which mandates that apartments must be modified to accommodate a disabled tenant. Any apartment that is subsidized by the federal government in any way, such as an LIHTC, requires that its owner pays for this. Conventional apartments, on the other hand, have the option of paying for it or allowing the tenant to pay for it, depending on the cost. Most ADA modified apartments are modified for wheelchair access, though many can be just as simple as having a raised toilet and grab bars.
