I recently had a simliar problem on my 1998 Aurora. I switched out the motor and still no go....ummm. I checked the fuse and it was blown. I recall starting the wipers when it was covered in ice and that's when the problem started. Also check out the site below it's totally dedicated to Auroras

The 1995 Oldsmobile Aurora blower motor relay switch is located beneath the dashboard on the passenger side. The blower motor relay switch should be labeled as such.
Door plunger switch broken or bad.
The only Killswitch is the ignition switch. GM vehicles are not equipped with a fuel pump inertia switch.

i would have the light switch checked to see if it is faulty
Check, or even better replace, the wires.
Fuse and/or switch Switch located at upper end of brake pedal under dash
Sounds like a bad switch or relay.
I got it. It was the relay switch.
