You are not offending Greeks, don't worry! We already know that we speak one difficult but also very cute language!Greek is difficult to learn for a couple of reasons: firstly, the alphabet is far different from the Latin one.It will take at least two months of intensive studying to easily recognize the characters of the alphabet.Secondly, the grammar is very complicated as there are many exceptions as far as the verbs or the nouns are concerned.Thirdly, the Greek vocabulary is endless...Even if you take lessons for two years, you will hardly understand two Greeks speaking to each other....Last but not least, maybe the pronunciation of many letters and combination of letters is difficult.Just imagine that only Spanish and Italian people can pronounce some of these weird letters! This means that if by accident someone listens to Greek,he/she may confuse it with Italian or Spanish, but it s something far more strange!

No it's not hard to learn. It's really easy.... If You're Greek. Or half Greek or at least have some sort of Greek in you. You need to know the alphabet. The Greek Alphabet does not have al of the English alphabet. So you can't really write down all the alphabet in English and in Greek... Unless you are especially talented at the Greek alphabet like me then you can learn very easily.
