Yes and no. The 'eyes are the windows of the soul.' Here are some facial facts: * People that smile often and laugh a lot generally have laugh lines around their eyes and possibly deeper groves on each side of their mouth. They are generally called 'crinkles' instead of wrinkles. * People that have had a bad past; jaded in life generally can have what they call a 'sour look' ... never smiling, furrows between their eyes (deep lines), and deep lines around their mouth making them look angry. This can also be caused by pain of any sort or in many cases a disease that has given the person much grief so you really can't go by facial signs. This can also mean the person is intense regarding most things they do in life and doesn't necessarily mean they are a 'sour puss.' * People that go red in the face could be shy or have a condition which will give them a flushed look to the face, neck or chest areas. I prefer to look at peoples eyes and body language. Just looking at facial features alone tells you very little. The eyes could be sparkling, giving people the impression the person has a good sense of humor; is happy with life or at peace with themselves. If there is a look of sadness in the eyes there could be many reasons why. If the eyes are steady and fixed then it means this person has determination. If the person can look you right in the eye this means they hopefully are honest (not always) so this is where body language comes in. If the person is lying they will generally not make eye contact, but if they do then they will still look away or use something else as an excuse to look away and will be hyper by pacing or shifting from one foot to the other' fidgeting with their hands or parts of their clothing. Crossing arms and standing with legs apart is a sign of stubbornness, determination or 'don't mess with me.'
