Yes forsure you can. i'v tryed it and i lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks!
and unlike other starvation diets when you start eating again you do not gain the weight. my tips are to drink lots of lemon water and stay out of the kitchin this will help you not have the need for food. after about 4 days you stop feeling the need for food. doing exersises help to, try doing as many sit ups as you can before bed. if you ever feel the need to eat grab something to eat , try something like celery or yogurt or drink soup. NOTHING ELS.
it's doable, am actually trying it out myself with instant oatmeal. with a simple calculation that 1 packet of instant regular oatmeal is 100cals, eating five of them would give you 500cals, which is a very low calorie diet(VLCD), only recommended for morbily obese people. well i wish to lose 20 pounds n as healthy i eat or as much as i exercise they don't want to come off..i would recommend you to at the very least ensure you got no health problems..another alternative would be haveing oatmeal for breakfast and lunch n then having half your dinner, then a fruit before bedtime..anyway remember that oatmeal three times a day constitute an unbalanced diet and have to be done only on a short term..best of luck to you.
It is not a good idea to eat just oatmeal because you will have no vitamin C in your diet, and you will develop scurvy (there are also other vital nutrients that are not adequately supplied by oatmeal, however, vitamin C is the most crucial one, the lack of which is going to become the biggest problem soonest). So, have some fresh fruit with your oatmeal. And you can lose as much weight as you want to, provided that your oatmeal and fruit consumption is not excessive. Oatmeal also contains calories, even though it is not as concentrated a source as many other popular foods such as cakes and pies. If you eat too much oatmeal you will still have an excess calorie consumption in your diet. The only food that you can eat in unlimited quantity without ever getting fat is raw celery (without dip). Celery is so fibrous that it consumes more energy to digest it, than the energy content of the celery. So the more celery you eat, the more weight you will lose. And fresh celery has vitamin C, too!
Yes. But you can't eat the instant kind because most of it has sugar in it Buy the oatmeal you have to cook from scratch and has no sugar in it and top with applesauce or other berries and skip the sugar. There is no correlation between eating oatmeal and losing weight, but oatmeal and apples has been proven to lower cholesterol. Staying away from starchy foods and sugars along with 8 - 8 ounce glasses of water and exercising is the only way to lose weight safely. Lots of veggies, protein such as in meats, poultry, fish, certain beans, etc. Dairy products such as eggs, yogurt (low on fats and butter in particular) and eat lots of grains (grain breads as well, but only about 2 - 3 slices per day.) Try "wraps" loaded with veggies, chopped cooked chicken or beef, crunchy Chinese noodles or anything else you want in it. Very healthy and I order wraps often when out in a restaurant. Stay away from too many desserts, candy's, pop, and junk food.
It is one of the most healthiest cereal grains, not only is it packed with fibre, but also a good source of protein in comparison with other grains. Plus it is inexpensive so your weight won't be the only thing that lowering.
I've done it and its worked... but you gotta throw in a protein bar or shake everyday to make sure your muscles don't break down along with the fat
yes it is

I have found that the best way to lose weight is to start with a healthy breakfast. I wake up each morning and weigh myself. This way I will know if the day before was a hit or a miss and I can reflect on what I did that was good and bad about the day before. In the morning I start my breakfast with oatmeal with some splenda brown sugar. I find by starting off with a good breakfast I am less likely to snack on food that is bad, because eating a bad breakfast encourages bad eating the entire day. I then eat a sensible lunch, and the last meal should be eaten no later then 5pm. You should also make sure that you exercise at least 20 minutes a day.
Eating breakfast is essential to start your metabolism. There is a reason why it is called the most important meal of the day. If you don't eat breakfast, you will continue your fast from overnight and your metabolism will be very low until you eat again. Then, when you eat again, you are more prone to overeat and store those calories as your body is in "starvation mode". Eat breakfast. Even if it's an apple or a glass of milk.
