On a 83 F150 4x4 all tail-lights stopped functioning however the dash and front end lights work normal checked fuses and bulbs and replaced flasher still no rear lights brn wire for lic plate lt wks.?

Addl Info.. 4 SP Manual with Manual AC L6 300, Installed license plate light 3 weeks ago, so has quit since. no known "ran-over garbage" or mishaps to suggest ripped wires.

Nope, LED's actually use less power than lightbulbs, therefore the stock flasher switch will work perfectly.

took me a while to find the flasher, it is jamed up, right behind the fuse block. you got to get a flash light in there to see it. before replacing, check your hazzards, if they are not working eigther, the flasher is probably not the problem. i checked the fuses, replaced the flasher, and still nothing. from my expiriance the steering colomn and its components are junk.

Have you checked the flasher fuse. Its in the fuse box by the brake pedal. Its the larger round one, you might have knocked it out of place or it has to be replaced. Check it out. When the flasher is on, you can hear a ticking coming from it.
