Only two nuclear weapons have been used for the purpose of warfare, both by the United States near the end of World War II. On August 6, 1945, a uranium gun-type device (code name "Little Boy") was detonated over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. Three days later, on August 9, a plutonium implosion-type device (code name "Fat Man") was detonated over Nagasaki, Japan. These two bombings resulted in the deaths of approximately 225,000 Japanese people (mostly civilians) from acute injuries sustained in the detonations. Most were killed due to the Impact Force and the Shock waves given off but a bunch were killed due to radiation. Some survivors today got cancer due to too much exposure to the toxic radiation.
Blowing up big things. Blowing up hardened installations. Antiaircraft that takes out entire formation of planes in one shot. Other things like that.
Are there any uses of Nuclear Energy? Are there any uses of Nuclear Energy?
All material uses nuclear energy.
Nuclear fission refers to the splitting of an atomic nucleus. It occurs naturally and can be induced in order to release energy. Nuclear fission provides the energy released by nuclear weapons as well as the energy used to produce energy at nuclear power plants.
Most uses include energy and weapons although some nuclear energy is used for materials.
All material uses nuclear energy.
In the future the uses remain the same: production of electrical and thermal energy and nuclear weapons.
No. Nuclear power uses nuclear energy instead of oil energy.
No! The US NRC is solely responsible for regulating, licensing, and safety of US commercially operated nuclear power plants. The original Atomic Energy Commission was split into the Department of Energy and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission because of conflicts of interest between military and civilian users. DOE is responsible for military uses, NRC is responsible for civilian uses.
it is a nuclear kind of energy
nuclear fission
France uses the most nuclear energy in the world with the United States of America in second.
nuclear energy is using the energy of science to be used as a weapon that has connections to science
