First of all you have to be ready for time consuming work. Also you need to make sure that you have all required wrenches (10 mm, 12 mm, 14mm). You need get a good quality gasket maker or gasket.
Start with putting your car on ramps or stand jacks. Disconnect the battery. Drain the oil (be careful it can be hot). Remove the mounts of exhaust system around the oil pan. Remove the insulator between the pan and transmission. Remove all bolts and nuts holding the pan (should be around 15). Make sure that you do not loose it. Remove the pan. It can be tricky, just pay attention to what you are doing and do not scratch the place of contact between the pan and engine. Place oil at the place of contact. Apply the gasket maker. If you are using a gasket, it's recommended to use a little amount of gasket sealer or maker to seal some imperfections or scratches if you have any. Make sure that you do not have any of that stuff on parts of the engine. Install the new pan. The torque, I think, should be around 5 N*m. Wait required amount of time to the sealer to cure. Install the bleeding bolt. After that refill engine with oil (5W30, 3.8 quarts). Double check everything. Connect the battery. Start the engine and make sure that you do not have any leaks. Turn off the engine. Reinstall all mounts. Test drive and check for leaks again.
you can find it on the trans axle next to the starter, its in the owners manual...mike
No you don't. They can cut the pipe and weld the flex pipe into place...otherwise it will get VERY costly
22L (liters) is 5.81 US gallons.
You remove the tank and then remove the pump, install the new pump, and put your tank back on.Easier job when tank is not full. Remove the rear seat and this exposes the gas tank and the top plate holding the fuel lines and fuel pump inside the tank. Pull plate and replace your pump. Make sure to disconnect your battery cables first. Should be able to complete job in 1 hr. at most. I've done it along side the road!
