Basically you just want to take a 30-60 second break in between sets over 12 reps. But anywhere from 2-10 you should take about a 90 -160 second break depending on how hard you push yourself to get "that extra rep". and supersetting is very good if you are looking for a more intense lift,but if you are supersetting two similar workouts you should still take a small break

Your current strength and athletic ability. Proper workouts indicate percentages of your one rep max. It's your job to find your one rep max in those exercises and then follow a workout that meets your goals.
