you just have to try and keep a smile on your face and if he doesnt pick them up try and do something fun with your kids so they forget for atleast the time being. that's really sad and im sorry to hear your ex is a moron and a bad father
AnswerThe best thing you can do is help the kids understand they are loved by both parents. Never talk bad about their father to them, they need to know they are wanted by him. If they have bad feelings toward their father because of something you said, it will show in their attitude when he does visit them one weekend and he will feel rejected and hurt. It won't encourage him to continue visits. It is unfortunate that he doesn't want to take advantage of his rigths, the kids need him in their lives. Encourage him to see them and be as civil as you can for the kids sake. Perhaps a good heart-to-heart with your ex would be helpful, you deserve to know why.
