Also, your web browser and any other internet-accessible program such as an e-mail client (Outlook). Last, don't open files from people you don't trust, and even if you get a file from them, be careful, some viruses can auto-send themselves to people on the victims address lists.

if you want to protect your computer from viruses dont go on bad websites which you dont trust or looks a bit dodgy there a website watcher which checks if it is safe or not download the program spyware terminator and download AVG 2011 for a 30 day free trial if you want a free one with no trial, download malwarebytes' anti-malware. run AVG 2011 or malwarebytes' anti malware 3 times a week at least just to make sure you are on the safe side warning if you dont regulary check it, there can be loads of viruses such as trojan's, worms ect.. i once had loads of these and my whole computer got ruined by a blue screen this is called the 'blue screen of death' and its quite severe it creates dump files and can come on at anytime and switches your computer off and then restarts dont get in this situation
