Mine too! Seems to be a common problem. There are usually small cracks at the top close to the seams that let water trickle in, but not out. If your lenses are cloudy, you can either purchase a refinishing polishing system from 3M or Meguire's. You can find new replacement housings reasonable on EBay or you can drill a 1/16 hole in the bottom inside corner to let the water drain. I've had them fill up enough that it blew out the bulb. Not fun digging out tiny fragments of glass out of housings............good luck
unhook 6 black slide clips from top of grille, and 5 black slide clips from bottom of grille, and remove chrome trim screws (4) from headlight assembly and unplug headlight and swap it out. assembly is reverse of removal.
drill a small hole in the back or bottom of the head light assembly to allow the moisture to escape.
Undo the hex nut on top of the headlight assembly and remove bolt. Grap bottom front of headlight assemby and pull hard upwards causing the bottom pins to release then pull directly outwards to release the top pins. Turn back of globe anti clockwise to release globe from headlight assembly.
I have a 2005 1500 and you have to pull the whole assembly out. There is a bolt that is really hard to get to on the bottom!
On the passenger side below the headlight assembly, behind the bumper cover, accessable from the bottom.
in the bottom of the washer fluid reservoir over the battery on the drivers side near the headlight assembly
You need to remove the side marker first. Remove the screw and pull hard perpendicular to the car to remove the side marker. Once that's removed you can see 2 screws on bottom of the headlight/foglight assembly and one screw on the top of the assembly as well as one nut on the side of the light assembly. Remove those screws and nut and you can pull out the whole headlight/foglight assembly. Remove the connector by pulling it straight out. Remove the rubber gasket and the spring lock. Assembly is the opposite.
Open hood, look at the back of the assembly and locate the 4 hex bolts that hold the unit in place. Remove the bolts, slide the unit away from the body, and disconnect the wiring harness. You can also access/remove the turn signal unit when the headlight assembly is removed by sliding it forward and disconnecting the wiring harness. Reverse the process to install. This reply is good for both the 1998 S70 and 1998 V70 with headlight wipers. Note that there is a tab along the bottom edge of a headlight assembly for the wiper blade to rest upon.
Ok I have just purchased a set of replacement headlight assemblies for my 2001 tundra How do I get to the bolt on the bottom left or right to remove the assembly.
If it's like my '95 (which it should be), the entire headlight assembly just pops out. There are three connectors: two in the bottom corners and one in the top outside corners. They may be difficult to pull out, but just keep pulling. They'll come out.
It was easy, remove bat, unplug wiring, pull 2 clips and push out the bottom mounting plastic and remove assembly.save clips for use on the new assembly
Take a 1/8 inch drill bit and drill 3 holes in the very bottom of the headlight. That will let it drain and also keep it from building condensation.
