Pagans are people who follow their own spiritual paths - in general pagans have a great reverence for nature and the environment, often observing astrological and seasonal festivals, in order to attune with the energies of the planet/universe. Some pagans are members of alternative religions such as Wicca, Druidism etc. Many pagans - though not all - also practice the art of magic and study spiritual development.

All of the christian holidays are based on pagan ones, quick breakdown

Easter = Spring Equinox

Christmas = Winter Solstice (it truthfully has absolutely nothing to do with christ or any of that)

The main pagan holidays are the solstices, equinoxes and select others like halloween, your own birthday is one, and May 1st is one but i forget which holiday that is.

May 1st is known as May Day.

is that Christean's believe only humans have souls where as pagans believe that trees animals mountain's etc also have souls

Technically, the term just means someone who believes in some religion other than the current one in power.

Modern pagans believe in gods other than the one followed by the three main religions of the world (Judaism, Islam, Christianity).
