In Washington state, if a home owner dies and leaves his/her mobile home to another and the heir is denied occupancy of the mobile home park, the mobile home will have to be moved. Other options would be to sell the mobile home to persons approved by the park, or to rent to approved persons.

Is a credit card is denied does it mean you lose your money?

The usual term is "declined". It can be for any number of reasons, but it means the charge did not go through. You don't lose any money from your account as a result. If you meant "denied" in the sense that you applied for a card and were turned down, then you should read your application carefully and see what happens to any application fee you may have paid. (If you're given an application that doesn't specifically say that any "application" or "processing" fees will be refunded if you're denied credit, then you should immediately tear it up and not apply. It may be a little late for you now, but in the future, you should check for that first.)

What happens if you go for a mortgage and don't tell them you already have a mortgage?

The lender will have the title to the property examined to disclose any outstanding encumbrances. It does not rely on your honesty on the loan application. They will then contact you to say, "Mr. Jones, you have a mortgage on your property that you failed to note on your application. Your application is denied since you have much less equity in your home than first claimed and you lied on your application."

What happens if you have a patent that's barely similar to another and take a risk by filing it?

During the patent examination process, if the new application is found to be too similar, you will need to appeal. The new application may eventually be denied. Essentially, the risk is you spend a lot of money on the application and appeals process, and end up with no patent at the end of it.
