AnswerPsalm 101 is commonly attributed to King David, although scholars say that the psalms were really written over a period of two or three hundred years, during and after the Babylonian Exile. The author was making a commitment to the Lord, to lead a blameless life. In verse 3, he was saying that he would not keep anything wicked, as he hates the work of those who do not follow the faith. He then says that he will not associate with those who do not follow his faith and, in verse 8 even says that he will kill them (Some English translations dissemble on this with euphemisms).
