The flag of the UK is the Union Flag (sometimes called a Union Jack but only when used on ships).
It is made up of the Scottish, English, and Irish flags and was created after the Act of Union. When Ireland withdrew from the UK the Irish elements of the flag remained.
The UK flag, known as the 'Union Jack' or 'Union Flag' is comprised of the red cross ('X' on white background) of St Patrick overlaid on the saltire of St Andrew (white cross (X) on blue background) beneath the red cross ('+' on white background) of St George.

The flag of the City of London is based on the flag of England, having a centred red St George's Cross on a white background, with the red sword in the upper top left quarter. The sword is believed to represent the sword that beheaded Saint Paul who is the patron saint of the city.

Scotland's flag is called the Saltire or the St Andrew's Cross. It is a blue flag with a white diagonal cross.
The Lion Rampant which has a red lion standing on its rear legs on a yellow background and is the Royal Standard of Scotland.
The design may be seen as similar to that of Jersey, white flag of ratio 3:5 with a red St. Andrew's cross style cross, with Jersey's coat of arms in the upper most white triangle. The coat of arms was added in 1981.
It is also similar to Jamaica - a yellow cross crating 4 triangles, of which the top and bottom ones are green and the right and left ones are black. This was adopted in 1962 and the flag is described by locals as follows: 'Hardships there are but the land is green and the sun shineth'.
The current national flag for the United Kingdom is the Union Flag, also known as the Union Jack. The Union Flag is a combination of the crosses of Saint Patrick (a red 'x' on a field of white), Saint James (a white 'x' on a field of blue) and Saint George (a red '+' on a field of white). I think you mean St. Andrew, not St James.
The resultant design is that of a red '+' with white borders, over a red 'x' with white borders, on a blue background.
The Union Jack is the flag of the United Kingdom. It combined the flag of Scotland with that of England. It has the red cross of St. George of England, the white saltire of St. Andrew and the red saltire of St. Patrick to represent Ireland.

John Cabot's flag was believed to be a red cross on a white background. However, there is limited historical evidence to confirm the exact design of his flag. Some depictions show variations of this design, including different color schemes and slight design modifications.
