Luke has Joseph and Jesus descended from a line of commoners after King David, which is why it is different to both the Old Testament and Matthew from David to Salathiel. As both Matthew and Luke have Salathiel and Zorobabel in their genealogies, this has required them to list Salathiel with a different father in each case.
