The WS6 performance suspension option was availble for both the Pontiac Firebird Formula and the Pontiac Trans-Am. The WS6 is a suspension modification. The differences between a Formula and a Trans Am vary greatly depending on the model year in question. In the 3rd generation F-Body, both Formula and Trans-Am were availble with the WS6, 5.0 or 5.7 motor 4 wheel disc or rear wheel drum and a variety of gearing in the rear differential. However a manual transmission was only availble in a 5 speed with a 305 from 82-92 regardless. Also availble was the GTA (Gold Trans-Am) and in 1989 a Trans-Am with a turbocharged 3.8 in response to the turbocharged Buick Grand National. The hood on a Trans Am has vents in it while a Formula hood has a cowl that was used for a primitive air incution on the carburated and throttle body 305 motor. Some earlier Trans Am models were also equiped with the cowl hood as well. Also Trans-Am had a boxier body kit and in the 4th generation 93-02 it featered a forced induction hood and raised spoiler. The WS6 suspension itself included stiffer springs with a lower ride height and WS6 center caps for the wheels. So depending on the options ordered for the vehicle in question there can be both many similarities as well as differences. But a Formula is not the same as a Trans-Am and a WS6 is not a car its an option for a car.

Once your lights are up there are three Phillips head screws that hold on a black light protecter(black piece around lights). Once that is off there are two torque heads for each light once you take them off. pull out the lights(just pull straight out and put in the new lights easy as that. i just changed mine on my 02 ws6 trans am hopefully yours have the same setup up good luck!!

The LS1 was introduced in the Corvette in 1997, and made its way into the Trans Am and Camaro in 1998. The Camaro Z28 and Trans am were advertised at 305 hp and the SS and WS6 at 320. Ratings stayed the same until 2001. The 01-02 SS and WS6 models were rated at 325 thanks to an LS6 intake manifold borrowed from the Vette. However a slightly smaller cam was used to keep power at the same level. The fact is an ls1 is an ls1 reguardless of year or model. The SS and WS6 cars will NOT dyno higher than a Z28 or ls1 formula. All 98-02 LS1 cars dyno 280-300 with the A4, and 300-320 with the m6. Forget about the GM ratings. All LS1 cars are good for 350-360BHP. GM underrated these motors in order to keep sales up on the "king of the hill" Corvette.

well it depends on the year, you can not buy a Trans Am with a V6 in it, they are all V8's, Camaro had the option of V6 or V8. In 77 - 81 Trans Am had two front headlights on each side where camaro had one large round one and a smaller one on each side. In 82 - 02 Trans Am had Flip up headlights and camaro did not. All the parts are interchangeable except the whole front end.
