Possibly some production, and trading arts such as dock workers, ship construction (repairs), etc. As that is what the Imperial Army/Navy/Air Force would have had them doing while Japan was occupying that region. Japan had to prepare the Philippines for defense against possible US/Allied counter-attack, which ultimately did occur. So, if the Philippine people learned much during that time, it was watching and listening, and learning as they peformed labor for the occupational forces.
Aside from the fact that Japanese has been a part of the Philippine History, it also had contributed a lot of things like culture wise, the foods, the friendship, the language, and the people.
