Am not sure what you mean by powder for making satay (sate) .. can't think of any in that manner. Should you want to know what ingredients are needed...these are the -following: (sweet thick) soya sauce (Indonesian Ketjap), onions, garlic, ginger, corriander, lemon juice, salt, pepper ... mince all this into a paste ... cut meat in smallish pieces ... marinate for several hours. Hope this was helpful?
yes, you can freeze satay sauce. you can freeze anything you like. that's your question. but if it goes funny or not... that's a different question.

Satay, is a dish/snack popular throughout not only Malaysia and Thailand, but also Indonesia and Philippines. Because satay originated in Indonesia. Satay, simply means "sate", in Malay language. What satay simply is, is skewers of grilled chicken, pork or beef marinaded and dipped in a sweet sauce. Kind of like "pinchos" from Puerto Rico. Satay is a Malaysian/Indonesian style kabobs. Satay varies all over Southeast Asia. "Indonesian satay" can simply refer to the satay eaten in Indonesia, and there is not much differences between the satay eaten in Malaysia, Thailand or Philippines. Since Malaysia and Indonesia are Muslim countries, they don't use pork for satay in those countries. They only use beef, chicken and seafoods. However since Philippines is a mostly Catholic country, satay from Luzon (Philippines's northern most major island) is made with grilled pork. Satay from Visayas and Mindanao are more closer to the original and real satay from Indonesia or Malaysia. Filipinos are also well known for making fish-satay, skewers with grilled fish or squid. Most satay, uses peanut sauce.
