The Book of Esther also presents a lesson of moral hazard. It teaches that if you are winning, show no mercy to your opponents. Queen Esther's petition for more time to kill teaches that absolute victory is more important than justice or due process.

The only message in the Book of Esther seems to be the glorification of the Jews.
