The microwave is important as a time saver. It makes the preparation of some food items faster than the stove top. Instant cereals that take a quick trip through the microwave are usually consumed by the time the stove gets done doing what it needs to do with the same product. And nothing works as well to reheat food. It's just so handy! Another thing that might become obvious with some thought is that the microwave is more energy efficient than an electric range. (The more water in the food item, the better!) Heat a measured quantity of water with it, either for a fixed period (measuring the temperature when done) or to boiling. Pre-warm your pan and burner on the electric range for a bit if you want to. Be fair and the efficiency of the microwave will become apparent. One minor plus for the microwave is that it provides another place to heat things. If something seasonal or otherwise special is in production, all the burners on the stove might be in use. It's the microwave to the rescue! What would we do without microwave ovens? We'd not have as much time to do other stuff. And what's more, we'd pass on some things (reheated coffee or a hot cup of tea) that we would not want to go to the trouble of preparing simply for the "hassle" as well as the time it would take to prep them. There are some tricks to using the microwave effectively and to the full of the capabilities of the unit. Pick them up one or two at a time and become an expert. Both you and those you prepare food and drinks for will be the better for it. As always, best wishes from this kitchen to yours. Bon appétit!
essenially to cook food unless you are copying a brainiac experiment where it is most ikely to blow up!
Microwaves are useful because it would keep us from having to heat up a stove and watch it cook while we could just put the cold food in there, turn it on how many minutes you want and leave.
They are a fast, cheap and easy way to cook food.
That instead of taking hours to cook things now could be cooked in a short amount of time and also MICROWAVE POPCORN! last bit was a joke
It help us to reheat things that are cold
Microwaves are produced when?
Microwaves need electricity to run, but this is easily produced from solar panels. Campers and caravaners with solar panels and batteries have 12 volt microwaves that run successfully.
Microwaves do not 'give off' radiation as such. Microwaves are radiation.
Microwaves
where are Samsung microwaves made
microwaves
microwaves are used in radar
no, because microwaves do not take up space
the microwaves travel though the heat
microwaves make heat energy
One example of microwaves is a mobile phone, which uses microwaves to transmit the call or data to and from the phone masts.
Yes. That's why microwaves can boil water.
