Katherine Tyler (a.k.a. Kit) moves from a sunny island with palm trees all over and turquoise water to nasty ugly grat water in Wethersfield Connecticut. It's not what kit has expected. She goes on the dolphin with John Holbrook and nat eaton. When she arrives she stays at her aunt Rachel's house and uncle Matthew woods house. She meets her 2 cousins for the first time, mercy and Judith who doesn't really enjoy having kit stay for the rest of her life. That's when kit meets Judith's crush William ashby. Also that's where mercy and Judith meet kits crush John Holbrook. As kit explores Connecticut she come across a witch Hannah tupper. She is very nice to kit but not to the townspeople. Little prudence gets taught by kit and then the townspeople think kit is a witch for hanging out with Hannah. Kit gets rid of her fancy dresses when William and Judith get married also John and mercy. Then nag gets a new ship an names it after kit. They become boyfriend and girlfriend and hopefully get married.
i wont tell you, you have to read the book. its hard to read if you are in like 6th grade or 7th grade, or whatever, it has old time wording . but the true thing I'm trying to say is that READ THE F***ing BOOK!
