If the Rhodesian military badges are 20 years old, they're reproductions. The government of Ian Smith effectively yielded authority to the British, during which time the country was known as Zimbabwe-Rhodesia. When Mugabe was elected into power, Rhodesia ceased to be, and it became known simply as Zimbabwe. Thus, the last Rhodesian badges would have been created in 1980 or before, as that was the year Mugabe came into power, and Rhodesia ceased to exist.
