There was a lot of tension on the reservation and a lot of problems such as Alcoholism, unemployment, suicides and murders, and the corruption of the Bureau of Indians Affairs and the tribal council. The U.S. military and government surrounded Wounded Knee the same day.

∙ 10y agoThis "battle" was between the U.S. Army and a Lakota Tribe near Wounded Knee. The US Army attempted to disarm aproximately 200 Lakota, part way through disarming them a weapon was disharged and the US Army killed an estimated 300 men women and children of the tribe.
