The Turbo 4G63 motor will fit in it. It might fit but with modification. I was looking at my friends turbo eclipse and the motor sits in there differently. The motor mounts are in different locations. it's a real pain to drop the turbo engine in because it basically sits backwards from the non-turbo engine, so the motor mounts are in the wrong place. However, i have heard rumor that 4g63 evo motor will fit without mod because it sits the same way as rs/gs
any. if you know what you're doing and have the right tools :)
It should be the same thing the only thing that really matters is if it an automatic or a manual. They bolth have to be the same.

You should be able to.
Yes it will fit perfectly
No, the 95-99's have a short block with the engine mount on the tranny, your car's motor mount is on the engine. Also the housing is bigger on the 95. I was in that situation and didn't realize it until I had already bought everything and had the car apart.
Probably needs freon.
no, the heads are different.
Yes. Both engines are the 420a. (as long as your eclipse isn't a GSX/GS-T)
It should as far as both hubs are designed for the same model, for instance, both should be GT, or GS and so on.
On an Eclipse GS.........the "GS" stands for Grand Sport
The 2000 Eclipse GS does not come equipped with this feature. I own a 2000 Eclipse GS and i had my car involved in an accident. It wouldn't start and i thought about this switch but wasn't sure so i called Mitsubishi Motors and they assured me that it isn't equipped. Turns out my Eclipse had an electrical short circuit in the accident and that's why it wouldn't start. Hope i helped.
