Democratic---------- Who ever wrote this is wrong... about as wrong as you can be. Rousseau desired a fictional (has never existed in reality) government that ruled for community good against the General Will. He believed people were selfish and would rule in self interest. He proposed massive changes to the educational system to instill the importance of communal prosperity and to discourage self mindedness. How Rousseau's government would work is never mentioned. It is more of a social critique than a political philosophy. Rousseau is emphasizing the problems within our own judgements and minds more than the problems within governments.

(personal opinion)

--------------Rousseau was a political idiot but a social visionary with some very good ideas regarding education that we are only now beginning to realize ourselves.
