He defined trading routes between Asia and Europe, as well as drawing extensive map systems of the area. He introduced many delicacies and fibers to the European people that he encountered in Asia.

first of all Marco polo lived in the dark ages the time when churches had kept people from the light of nolage nobdy knew how to read write or anything when Marco polo set out he brought back with him stories of amazing things this encouraged people to live better and to be happy and hope for better. ultimatly Marco polo brought on the renissence period of time.

The Polos arrived in China after 4 years of travel and were able to set up trade with China. Marco stayed with the court after his father left and was there 25 years . When he finally returned to Italy he wrote a bestseller that influenced others to explore .

The purpose of the trip was his father and uncle to begin trading with Kuba Kan of China. Marco was 17 years old went he left with them. It took them 4 years to get there and Marco stayed in China for 25 years before he returned to Italy. After returning he wrote a book about his travels and described the things he saw. He also brought back silk, perfume, spices, fruits, and gunpowder. His book and the goods he brought back influenced men like Columbus to explore.
