Israel.

The Old City of Jerusalem is currently under Israeli control and de facto Israeli governance. In terms of the official international stance, the Old City has not had a de jureowner since 1948 when it was under British authority in the Mandate for Palestine. As the Old City was under illegal Jordanian Occupation from 1949-1967, the State of Palestine has made a claim to ownership of the Old City based on the 1949 borders.
