King Henry VIII of England had one legitimate son, Edward, born on 12th October 1537.
His mother, Henry's third wife Jane Seymour, died soon after the birth from complications of the birth.
Edward later became King Edward VI of England.
He acknowledged one illegitimate son, Henry FitzRoy, born on 15th June 1519.
Henry FitzRoy's mother was Elizabeth (Bessie) Blount. He was created the first Duke of Richmond and Somerset in 1525.
Henry VIII had a few sons but you are probably on about Edward VI.
Edward VI's illness has never been proven but it is rumoured he died of consumption which we would recognise as tuberculosis.
There are other theories but this seems the most likely one.
Henry VIII had two sons before this that lived more than a few days but they still died as babies so the causes are unknown.
He had an illegitimate son called Henry Fitzroy but I do not know what he died of.
