What did the government find out about Lee Harvey Oswald?

The Warren Commission and other studies made a comprehensive study of Oswald's life. Classmates, teachers, employers, fellow Marines and neighbors were interviewed and follow up interviews were completed. They dug up all the data available. No stone was left unturned. Lee Harvey Oswald had lived in 22 homes and attended 12 different schools and while he was a troubled youth, nothing was found in his life that could lead them to the cause or motive for the actions he had taken.

Why was lee Harvey Oswald found guilty of the shooting of jfk?

Oswald was never found guilty because he was murdered before he was brought to trial. There was substantial evidence against him, but one never knows what a good lawyer can do with a jury.

Why did the Warren Commission decide that John F Kennedy was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald acting on his own?

All the physical evidence (weapons, prints, bullets and fragments) were tied to Oswald and no one else. No evidence was found to support the idea that Oswald needed or had any co-conspirators. He simply appears to have wanted to be famous, and nothing else he'd ever tried, worked. Including, I might add, a previous attempt to assassinate a celebrity (he was not tied to this until after the police found the evidence in his home after JFK's death).

Where was Lee Harvey Oswald arrested?

Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested at the Dallas theater after being dropped off by a light coloured station wagon with a gun rack later spotted at a service station on Davis street close to the theater,Deputy sheriff Roger Craig spotted Lee Harvey Oswald getting into the Nash on Dealey Plaza driven by Jack Ruby or Mac Wallace ,Lee arrived at the theater about 1300pm before Harvey Lee Oswald left his rooming house and officer Tippet was shot. Lee Harvey oswald was up stairs when Harvey entered the building followed later by the Dallas police,Harvey was arrested and escorted out of the front and and Lee the rear exit and hurried away after giving proof of his identy,Lee was later spotted out side a Mexican restaurant nearby in a red sports car. Both Oswalds are now dead and there bodies in the same grave in Rose Hill if iam wrong lets have some DNA Please understand the above is a joke, based on your calling Lee Harvey Oswald, "Harvey Lee Oswald". He is pretending there were two Oswalds running around (I am pretty sure Oswald's mother and brother Robert would have noticed another Oswald!). There is evidence of LHO taking a bus and a taxi, IIRC, but nothing about station wagons, or any proof that Ruby or Wallace did any such thing, or were in a position to. And when Oswald was exhumed, there was only one body found, of course. So to answer your real question with a real answer... he was arrested at the Texas Theater in Dallas.

According to the Western Commission who did Lee Harvey Oswald assassinate?

You mean the Warren Commission as there is no information about a Western Commission. The Warren Commission found that he acted alone.Various parts of the report say:His Marine career was not helped by his attitude that he was a man of great ability and intelligence and that many of his superiors in the Marine Corps were not sufficiently competent to give him orders. While Oswald did not seem to object to authority in the abstract, he did think that he should be the one to exercise it.He was undesirably discharged from the Marine Corps Reserve, to which he had been assigned on inactive status following his transfer from active duty, after it was learned that he had defected to the Soviet Union. The Commission has concluded that on April 10, 1963, Oswald shot at Maj. Gen. Edwin A. Walker (Resigned, U.S. Army), demonstrating once again his propensity to act dramatically and, in this instance violently, in furtherance of his beliefs. The Commission has found no evidence that the extreme views expressed toward President Kennedy by some rightwing groups centered in Dallas or any other general atmosphere of hate or rightwing extremism which may have existed in the city of Dallas had any connection with Oswald's actions on November 22, 1963.

What gun did Harvey Oswald used to kill the president?

Lee Harvey Oswald used a 6.5 x 52 mm Italian Carcano M91/38 bolt-action rifle, serial number C2766. The rifle was equipped with a 4x Hollywood brand scope. The military surplus rifle and scope were sold through Klein's Sporting Goods Company by mail order. Alternate theories The Kennedy assassination is one of the most debated events of the 20th century. There are many alternate theories as to the exact circumstances of the assassination. Some hold that Oswald was not the real shooter, in which case he did not use any rifle. There is also some controversy as to which exact Carcano rifle was used since there is a 36" and a 40" version and Oswald may have owned both. Another alternate theory is that the actual rifle found in the book repository was a Mauser, but the Carcano was substituted to frame Oswald.
