Minorities got all of the bad jobs and some of them didn't even have jobs. it was hard for them because they also couldn't eat very much food because most of the food had to go to the troops so they can be strong and be able to fight.
While still plagued by the â??separate but unequalâ?? ruling of â??Plessy vs. Fergusonâ??, as well as Jim Crow laws, blacks seeking a better life began the northern migration from the south. Blacks gained employment in the industrial centers of America and sent for the families to begin the road to economic equality and pursuit of their American Dream.
They got better jobs than what they had before and after the war they were treated a little more equally.
