It sounds like the anti-lock brake system might be going through its normal initial self-test. Check your battery cables for corrosion too if you lights are dimming excessively. The current drawn during the self-test can be enough to kill the engine/fuel delivery system if your cables are loose or corroded. Regards.
97-98 Chevy blazer/S10 headlights on/offI had the same problem on my 1997 s-10 blazer. Check the daytime running light modual under the dash, center, behind accessory outlets(cig.lighter).
The word "blazer" has a short vowel sound for the letter "a".
Maybe a blown fuse ?
When you are in 4-wheel drive the front axle is locked so both wheeld drive regardless of traction available, if you drive in 4 wheel drive on dry pavement and try to turn, the wheels will still try to go the same speed and slip on the pavement causing a clunking sound.
Check the connections to the solenoid and to the starter.
It is designed to do this. They are called Daytime Running Lights. No correction is necessary. Push the dome light button four times and they will go off. You will hear a dinging sound as if your seat belt were unfastened notifing you they are off.
starter part were the wires are.
That crackling sound is your hard drive being read, and it can be fixed by replacing your hard drive with an expensive Solid State Drive.
It sounds to me like you have wiring problems.
