Well teacup is a term used mainly to identify the size of the chihuahua. However, the real Chihuahuas should not be extremely small as a teacup size because it means they are malnourished or that there is a deficiency in their system. On the other hand they should also not be too large (max 3 kilos). Usually a typical chihuahua should be between 2-3 kilos max.
I am a breeder myself and when you breed this type of dog you really know and understand the difference.

Answer 2. Chihuahua breed is not a prolific breeder. So an ethical breeder can only expect 2-3 puppies in a year from one female. If the breeder has 10 female dogs in the house, it can be labeled as a backyard puppy mill.
In Dubai, it is very difficult to avoid pet shops. But you can choose a good pet shop by asking questions and insist that the puppy is imported from a home based breeder. Insist on a detailed health certification of breed associated issues ( preferably from a UAE based reputed vet ) Pets Habitat in Barsha or Motor City appear promising. ∙ 14y agoBest bet: Google local Yorkie breeders. These little guys do not travel well. Make sure you visit a local breeder, not a pet shop. Ask if parent's are on site. Ask to see kennel . If they decline or dither, don't do business with them. If all else fails, buy an AKC or UKC registered pair and breed your own.
