could be door switches sticking
it could be the above but it appears that on Frontera's approaching 10 years old the power sounder which activates when the battery is disconnected becomes faulty.
the main fault is with the batteries inside the unit, I have removed mine to revent it sounding in the middle of the night
my alarm keeps going of and wont start.
taking out he fuse disables the whole system..your alarm will no longer work
try the interior light switches on the doors
Unlock passenger side
Disarm the alarm before removing the battery.
Not knowing what kind of alarm you are talking about it's hard to say, but if it's a smoke alarm then you should check the batteries, and the wiring. If it's a home security system I would call the person that installed it, and get them to come out and check it.
I had the same problem with my 2000 xterra and it turned out to be low battery voltage. Check your battery this is most likely your culprit. Mudlvr
be carefull, removing the aftermarket module can make the car not start, as they may have tapped into the ignition circuit.... check all the WIRING going to their alarm module, and see if they have changed any of the original harness... good luck :)
You may ned to adjust the sensitivity of the motion detector. The wind is probably blowing, or a cat is walking across the car and causing the alarm to activate. my camaro was doing the same thing and i found a bad ground. check and clean all cassis grounds
snip the wire going to the alarm.
You first need to check the battery of your alarm system. Your alarm system may also be going bad and need to be replaced.
Call an alarm repair man to fix it.
