If you mean the oil drain plug its in the bottom of the oil pan. There is a plastic shroud over the bottom of the engine compartment that must be removed first.
Mine is located on the firewall.Looks like a oil filter an has fuel lines.1991 capri turbo.
5w20 or 5w30 3 and 1/2 qts.
A 1993 Mercury Capri (with the 1.6 4 cylinder DOHC engine) requires 3.2 quarts of oil.
4 litres.
look in the back by the engin about a foo1 down its a very little filther its going horizantle kinda hard to get to but not that bad
at 1.6 l engines, the Oil Pressure Sensor is located above the oil filter, below and next to the knock sensor. I just can't find a replacement or part number.
If you pull the bolt next to the oil dipstick out of the power steering unit it will give you plenty of slack to get the belt off.
On a 1991 Mercury Cougar : The oil pump is INSIDE the oil pan ( the oil pan is bolted to the bottom of the engine )
it is just above oil filter to the left
Either replace it or install a manual gauge to determine actual oil pressure
85cI don't know anyone who has a 90's Capri that has a temp gauge that is accurate. I have had my radiator water tested and the actual gauge is wrong. It always runs in the red in the summer. Also, the oil gauges are not correct, either. Try replacing the Themo.....I have no issues with mine
