Epistimology: roth or rot [Germanic] = red. roe [Old Gaelic] = red-hair or red-head. roe in the ancient Danish language, signifies a king. childs = child or children. The name childs was given to youths, page boys and valets/varlets from seven to fourteen years of age, while receiving their education for knighthood. Therefore "Rothchilds" = red-headed child/children or child of a king receiving an education. The Rothchilds families are principally from Scotland.

However, the ROTHSCHILD family is one with Jewish connections that owns banking assets across Europe and America. Dating back to the Ottoman Empire, where most Jewish people were forced out of their homes, and fleed across Europe, the Rothschild family settled in Cith of Venice. There, they started banking operations, later spreading across Europe, making Venice the banking capital of Europe. The Rothschild family dominated the banking scene across Europe, and has been the sole creditors to the empires of Britain, Bavaria, etc. The name of Rothschild carries a heavy weight title throughout the banking sector of today's world.

The Rothschild family is considered to one of the world leading bankers of today. This family is also one of the wealthiest banking families in the world.
