If it wasn't running hot before the changes you may have an airlock in the water system. If it was running hot before it might still be an airlock or it could be the head gasket leaking. Whichever it is it needs sorting quickly. The best placed to cure this problem are your local garage or dealership. But you could try this first: With the engine cold and all the heater controls set to hot, remove the top from the expansion bottle. Make sure there's the required level of fluid in it then squeeze the thick radiator hoses to try and move the air out of the system. Run the engine and check for more air. Replace the expansion botle cap. Note: Sludge in the water, continuous air bubbles, antifreeze colour change or oil in the water all indicate headgasket leaks

Depending on model year the now discontinued Oldsmobile Silhouette minivan type vehicle may have been equipped with a combination of pressed in and sealed wheel bearings. Sealed wheel bearings involve unbolting the hubs and replacing them with new units. Pressed in bearings must be removed, repacked with fresh grease and then pressed by industrial unit, then reinstalled. Machine shops can also repress in bearings if you do not have a press.
The cost varies widely depending on the make and year of the vehicle.
I had to replace my thermostat. I moved the throttle head out of the way. I removed the air cleaner assy. I then removed the two bolts from the housing area and pulled out the thermostat. The tools I used were the 10mm/ 13mm/ flathead screw driver to remove air cleaner, and I also loosened four bolts on the aluminum covering below the throttle head. It took some time ( 2 hours) and patience. It helps if the vehicle is on ramps lifting up the front end of the vehicle. Thats how I did it.
You can purchase a used shop manual for that vehicle. Check ebay for such a manual.
