First, it's important to note that not all Arabs hate all Jews, nor do all Jews hate all Arabs. This misconception is often promoted due to the Palestine-Israel conflict. Many Arabs, and for that matter, non-Arabs do not like what the Israeli government does, but this should not be mistaken for anti-Semitism.

Keep this mind when reading the answers below.

Answer 1

Ignorance, just like any other form of racism.

Answer 2

See the link below to "What are the causes of the Jewish-Arab Conflict" which alludes to a number of conflicts between Arabs and Jews. Much of Arab hatred for Jews stems from these issues. Also see the link to "Why do Muslims hate Jews?" which explains many other reasons for such hatred. It is important to note, however, that hatred of the other is present only in a minority of each side. It just so happens that the minority is very vocal.

Answer 3

Not really. Jew have always lived in Arab communities for centuries in various locations, such as Iraq and Egypt. Arab are not known for discrimination against Jews or Christians.

There is a current conflict between Arabs and Israelis in the Middle East due to the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. This one conflict, however, should not be used to taint Arab-Jewish relation.

Answer 4

Arabs are angered primarily, as concerns the Jews, with the issues in Palestine where Jews forcibly resettled and eliminated hundreds of Palestinian cities. This grave violation of the Rights of the Palestinians greatly incenses the Arabs. Another issue that bothers the Arabs is the Jews have, in spite of their numbers, garnered an important place in the world economy. Even though most rational Arabs realize that Jews do not actually control the economy, there are a disproportionate number of Jews in prominent economic and political positions, whereas Arabs have been almost completely excluded from the World Economy. Arabs are also angry that Israel appears to be expanding its territory with its conquest of the Sinai Peninsula on two separate occasions, its annexation of the Golan Heights and East Jerusalem (in contravention of the Arab understanding of UN Resolution 242) and continued settlement of the West Bank. Jews outside of Israel do not criticize these actions.

Answer 1

Not all Jews hate Arabs. In fact, I don't know any Jews who have anything against Arabs. I suppose the idea that some Jews hate Arabs because of what is happening in Israel and the Palestinian areas.

Answer 2

While not all Jews hate Arabs, some do; and the reasons are outlined here.

What Jews are angry about as concerns Arabs is their consistent denial of historical wrongdoing and segregation (such as the dhimmi status, the jizya and kharaj taxes, occasional pogroms, and humiliation in general), their failure to educate their children in the virtue of tolerance (while instead teaching them literalist Qur'anic interpretations which tell them that Jews are the children of swine and that jihad will not end until all Jews die), the promulgation of anti-Semitic teachings (such as the Protocols of Zion and Holocaust-Denial), their toleration of torture and other vast human rights abuses in their native countries, and a failure to accept the validity of a Jewish State.

Answer 3

Many Jewish people don't hate Arabs at all. And by the same token many Arabs don't hate Jews. But there is a lot of hate on both sides.

The reasons for it? Historically, some of it is religious, some political, some cultural, some personal. Those Jews who live in Israel don't enjoy having to fight for the right to have a homeland, and they don't like being constantly bombed, and they don't like the constant Propaganda that is put out there that they don't have a right to live or be where they are. They don't like having to protect their children from terrorists and having other people make them look like the bad guys all the time.

I think truthfully though that most people on both sides just want peace. It is the negotiation of the details of that peace and the radical elements demanding more and more that get in the way.

Wrong. The great majority of Jews are intelligent enough to hate terrorists (and their supporters) only. Jews in Israel, for example, have ALL had dealings with Arabs in the business and services industries and have all seen that great numbers of Arabs are cooperative people. This in itself makes it impossible to hate Arabs wholesale. Problems come up when Israel is portrayed as evil by parts of the Arab and Muslim world. This despite the fact that Israel has better human-rights than any other country in the region (click on the blue text for details).

Israel has been boycotted for decades, and its citizens have suffered from the conflict, yet it continues to be optimistic and it enjoys God's protection.

The presence of the Jews in Israel is questioned by some, despite the Jews' history in and from Israel, and despite God's clear words bestowing Israel to them. Words which are recognized by Islam as well.

Those who condemn Israel for its side in the conflict, fail to condemn the actions of Israel's enemies, no matter how heinous.

Perhaps, but the rivalry seems to be one-sided. Judaism is not terribly concerned about the Arabs and is very internally focused. Arabs, however, often discuss Jews and blame many of their problems on the Jews.

How are Arabs and Jews linked?

Tradition states that Arabs and Jews are both descended from Abraham. The Arabs are from Ishmael, and the Jews are from Isaac (through his son Jacob). Do Arabs hate Black Jews?

Most Arabs do not hate Blacks or Jews nor Jews who are Black. However, there are minorities who do. Specifically, I am unaware of any Arab who hates Black Jews in any special way. There is racism against Blacks in the Arab World, especially Christian Blacks and especially in Sudan. There is also widespread Anti-Semitism and Anti-Zionism in the Arab World. Certainly the two could be merged, but I have not seen it.

Do Jews and Arabs have a common beginning?

According to Jewish and Arab tradition, the Jews descend from Abraham following the line of his son Isaac and the Arabs descend from Abraham following the line of his son Ishmael. So it may be said that Jews and Arabs had a common beginning. In terms of what science can tell us, while Jews have a strong genetic relationship to Levantine Arabs (Arabs in Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria), they do not have a strong genetic relationship with Arabian Arabs (who were the original Arabs and live in the Arabian Peninsula).
