Becoming "flushed", or red faced, is a normal part of the body's cooling mechanism. When we exercise we produce extra heat (burn calories), and the body has to cool itself. Sweating is one way. The sweat glands are activated to put water on the surface of the skin, and when the water evaporates it cools. Read about "heat of vaporization". It's a basic principle of physics and indirectly describes how we cool ourselves.

But sweat is only half of the way that we cool ourselves.

When the skin becomes sweaty we also need to put a lot of blood to the surface of the skin so that it can be cooled as the sweat evaporates. The capillaries dilate, allowing more blood to circulate at the surface of the skin and be cooled.

Many times people who are getting the most benefit from the exercise, (working hardest, creating the most heat) will sweat the most and more easily "flush".

It's normal. Just keep exercising.
