sounds like you have traction control and the brakes a activating to keep the car from going out of control and into a spin Make sure your not in 4-wheel drive. It feels like the front brakes are engaging during sharp turns. My '02 Trailblazer has undergone two transfer case switch replacements (the knob on the dash - 2 LO, 4 LO, 4 HI ). The transfer case would swith to 4 Hi and 4 Lo whenever it wanted !
Brakes should not activate. In four wheel drive mode there is a possibility of some wheel hop or binding if you hit some dry spots while in a tight parking maneuver.
A sharp knife. to pop it. jk.idk
Practice using their brakes when they turn on the road. That way they are more experienced.
If the grinding is only while turning *not* while applying the brakes, I'd say check the CV joints? If it is while breaking, check your disc pads. Ina any event, good luck with it.
Exercise biking is better than rip sticking in terms of safety because it has brakes unlike a rip stick which has no brakes whereas in terms of fun, rip sticking is better because you can do sharp turns.
put a pry bar behind it (between it and the trans) and give it a sharp push, the axle is held in by a circlip, it will pop right out, and then right back in again, again, with a sharp push in.
Half- sharp
I pulled fuse on the abs system , and the noise went away. Ron
Turn real sharp while moving and see if you feel the front wheels jerking

you could be putting to much force on the wheel while turning. A way to stop this may be to turn right at a slower speed or make right hand turns that are not as sharp. If that does not work, visit a repair shop.
