Cyber - Bullying is the exact same thing as regular bullying but only using technological social networks to hurt people feelings. In cyber bullying what ever you say you cant take it back.

(example . MSN , text messaging , AIM ect.)

It is bad because so many kids are badly emotionally affected as the outcome of something someone random says just for fun. For example;

"Lucy", 13 years old, posts a picture of herself on her 'piczo' website. She gets a text box and writes "Tell me what u think", expecting nice comments. Some random views the site and stumbles across Lucy's picture, and notices she has a slightly larger nose than what he has seen before. He can't help himself, and without thinking of how Lucy will feel when she reads his comment, he writes:

Ugly.

After school, Lucy logs into Piczo and discovers someone has posted! Yay!

After waiting about 5 minutes for the page to load, she reads what "qwertyh" has posted.

Upset, she x's out of the internet and runs, crying, into her room, where she lies for hours telling herself life's just not worth living anymore. Why go out and be stared at funny all the time. (She had noticed often that people had looked at her strangely), and girls at school would tell her that she was ugly and that no body would go out with someone so ugly.

Nobody had asked her out.

How would you feel if this were your daughter? Or your best friend? Or your sister? Or cousin? Or niece? etc..

It's a horrible feeling being bullied. If you don't want this to happen to you, don't do it to others! It's as simple as that. Just a couple of mean things said, can make someone dangerously depressed. Think about what you say before you say something! And remember, a little bit of tact can go a long way. Tell someone they're pretty when they're 'plain' looking. Point out someones nice features. Chances are that one "Your eyes are beautiful" Or "You look great!" will make someone's day. Have fun! (With your compliments!)

I've been through it personally, it's horrible. To this day (around 4 1/2 years later) I don't go to school, and I rarely go out anywhere because of my lack of self confidence. Please don't put anyone through this, it's the worst feeling ever. -End.

yeah that's right. also. people commit suicide from cyber bullying. if you are a cyberbully. ITS EVIL AND CAN DESTROY PEOPLES LIVES. SO STOP NOW>

This is now a nother person talking:CYBER BULLYING if u do it shame onU!!!!!!!!!kids out there who are 6 and older gett cyber bullying everyday when i was 9yr's old i had a phone and a girl sent to me "I HATE U"on her phone i recived the txt msg at skool, any how the bell just rang i went to check my txt it was so diceving,She hurt my feelings i felt SOOOO bad. Then i put in a complaint to the princaple she said to ignore,I did then i went on my computer on messenger and received a msg say"ur still ugly and tooo pretty"it made me feel so annoyed.DON'T DO IT THIS RUINS PEOPLE'S LIFES.IF I FIND ANYONE ONLINE BULLYING GUESS WHAT UR IN A HOLE LOT OF TROUBLE AND CRITISIZING PEOPLE'S LIKES AND DISLIKES ONLINE IS STILL THE SAME!I HAVE HEARD PEOPLE SAY TO ME WHEN I NAME MYSELF TWILIGHT_FAN650 THEY SAY TWILIGHT=LOSER IM NOT HAPPY WHEN THEY SAY IT SO DON'T!I ONCE GOT TRACK OF THAT PERSONS PHONE NUMBER AND THEN I TOLD POLICE AND HE LIVED IN AMERICA I LIVED IN Australia THEY STILL MADE A CALL THROUGH AND GOT HIM ITS POSSIBLE
Cyberbullying is: Online insults, stealing passwords and pretending to be the victim while sending out embarassing messages, forwarding (ahem) COMPROMISING pictures that someone trusted you with, continually telling someone they are worthless and should kill themselves (WHICH IS A FELONY), and just generally being a D-bag to someone who probably doesn't deserve it without having the guts to actually step up and say it. What also ends up happening is people pretend to be someone they're not, act interested in their intended victim, and set everything up for the express purpose of ultimately rejecting them. People have killed themselves over this, some of them 12 years old. If you do something that results in another person's suicide in this manner, you will be caught, you will be tried for computer fraud, you will be found guilty, and you will serve 10 years in jail. Congress is attempting to pass a law making cyberbullying a crime in and of itself. So, to reiterate:

1: Whatever this person did, they don't deserve the feeling of total worthlessness that comes with cyberbullying

2: Your victim may kill themselves

3: It's just plain wrong

4: You can go to jail.

Because kids today might think that seeing another kid get bullied is funny but they don't know that 50% off kids today commits suicide because of this problem. And if they were in the victim's situation, they wouldn't like it so everyone have to be equal.

If they hurt you physically then of coarse it's bad, you'll get injured. But if they bully more mentally then it might not show too much. But if someone gets bullied it might bring down there Self-esteem, like if someones really good at Badminton and the bully tells them they're not good and keeps throwing mean comments about his/her badminton skills they might really believe that they can't. If they think they can't do it they might really not be able to play well.
