You should quit smoking because It is the single most preventable cause of early death in the world. Smoking causes cancer, Heart disease, and chronic lung disease. Each day 1200 people die from smoking in America. Cigarette smoking causes 87% of lung cancer and contributes to more than 400000 deaths each year in the United States.

Quitting smoking saves money. A pack a day smoker, who pays $8 per pack, can expect to save around $2900 per year. IF someone walked up to you and said "I will give you $3000 if you quit smoking for a year" would you say in reply "Nice- I will try!" If so, go look in a mirror and say it to yourself "I will give myself $3000 if I quit for a year", because if you quit, that is exactly what you will get.

Because smoking is bad for you in a number of ways. It can cause lung cancer, heart disease, increase the risk of strokes & heart attacks, emphysema, impotency (in men) and other problems.

It also make you smell bad to non-smokers. It also costs a lot, not only in the cost of the cigarettes, but in increased medical/life insurance.

There are more reasons, but the above are enough to make me try to quit.

Sometimes, people smoke because they are under pressure of friends, or that they a stressed and feel like smoking makes you feel comfortable, but it is bad for you because it can cause lung cancer and make you die.

Usually because they decide they don't want to stink, cough, endanger the health of their loved ones, spend lots of money, and die before their time.

Or, because they do not want to be a slave to cigarettes anymore. They want the freedom of not "needing" or having the feeling of need or wanting a cigarette.

Wrinkly skin: Cigarette chemicals can promote dry skin and premature aging. When your blood flow is reduced, your skin receives less nutrition.

Appetite suppression/loss of sense of taste: Smoking can decrease your appetite by reducing your sense of taste. This reduces the pleasure of eating. When you stop smoking, you will most likely begin to appreciate your meals once more.

Smell: Tobacco smoke can stick to your clothes and hair, making you smell bad. In fact, simply being in the presence of secondhand smoke can cause your hair and clothing to smell.

Mood issues: Smoking disturbs various neurochemicals and makes a person more irritable and stressed over time.

Confidence: Smoking destroys confidence. We become dependent on smoking for various tasks such as picking calls or smoking before meetings. If we need to solve any problem, we first have to smoke, otherwise we can't think of a solution.

Friction in life: We are not able to enjoy many activities of life because we can't live a smoke-free life or if we run out of cigarettes. In a shopping mall with family? we feel the cravings for smoking after a couple of hours. Now we are constantly craving for a cigarette and we can't enjoy the family time until we get our fix. similarly, we have to do extra planning for all the activities to make sure that we get our fix.

Slavery: The truth is that smoking controls many activities of our life and we become dependent on it.

In fact, smoking addiction even tries to prohibits you from quitting smoking.
