State Legislatures
Alexander Hamilton, James Madison and a few others were the advocates. They wanted to alter/abolish them because it created a government that was too weak and pissed off the people. the problem was mostly that the gov it created was too weak. it was difficult because a certain number of delegates had to agree on the changes and that was difficult to make happen. they also weren't supposed to abolish the articles. none of the delegates had permission from their state to destroy it; that was why they closed all the doors and windows to the building they were in while they were doing this.
Federalism
by the number of delegates for each state by the number of delegates for each state
How many delegates will each state have?
The delegates settled on a federal form of government instead of a system in which power was not divided between state and national government because they believed that it provided for a much stronger national government with a chief executive (the president), courts, and taxing powers.
Under the Articles of Confederation the federal government was structured so that Delegates were chosen by state legislatures, and each state had one vote in Congress.
As the most populous state, California has the most delegates.
We go from Primaries in each state, to delegates that represent those candidates chosen, to the convention and then finally the delegates from those states must officially nominate the candidate, if the delegates agree an indivudal can be nominated by acclamation. From there the individual nominated must formally accept the nomination.
