Since you didn't specify WHEN it shakes (high speed, when using the brakes, low speed???) here are a couple possibilities:
Normally this is caused by warped brake rotors.
Normally this is caused by warped brake rotors.
Check for warped front rotors. under slight brake application it may not shake. But under hard braking such as getting off an offramp the truck will shake and the brake pedal may pulsate slightly. Chances are real good this is your problem.
You have a warped rotor. Brake pads need replacing and the rotors turned or replaced.
Most likely you have warped rotors. If the rotors are warped, when you apply the brakes, the brake pads/caliper will be forced to follow the rotor and the vibriation will transmit via the steering wheel and brake pedal.AnsweIf the rotors are warped you will feel a pulsation or a bumping in the pedal when you step on it. It may also be a loose brake caliper. If you are getting a bad shaking I would definitely check the suspension components and the steering linkage for problems.
i would suggest getting an m.o.t I suspect the brake rotors are warped. Machining or replacement of rotors is necessary to correct that problem.
Possible its time to change those brake pads out. The whining noise is possibly the metal grinding to your rotor, which would cause your wheel to shake. Consider getting those rotors turned as well.
Possible wrong rotors???
A common reason is that the front rotors have warped. Go check out WikiAnswers on the topic of "warped brake rotors". Rotors should wear out smoothly in normal driving. Use of the brakes that generate lots of heat (hard braking, riding the brakes) will result in warped rotors.
remove tire calipers brake assembly then pull your rotors off i would recomend putting new brake pads if your putting new rotors you will need a special puller for the rotors cause they are pressed on
There are several reasons. Two common reasons would be warped brake rotors or a bad ball joint which should be fixed immediatly.
your brake rotors are warped. You should repalce you brake pads and have the rotors resurfaced if possible, or replaced.
